How can I make it so that a select group of membrs can start a new topic in a certain section of my forum but all other members can view/reply?
**Thanks for all the help but we have moved to vB.

It is simple. You have to give the certain group of members the permision to write new subjects, and for the others only to reply to the subjects. How?
Go to forums, search for the board you want, click permisions, then click to GROUP1(the group you want to be able to write new subjects) then be sure that "write new subjects" is checked, then go to all the other groups and uncheck that permission.
Have fun!
Today, if you're not confused it means you're not thinking clear!

That didnt work but got my brain on the right track.   :)

You have to create a new set of Permissions and go down and assign each board that permission set.
