Am I missing something? I can't seem to figure out how to get all the buttons and icons to show up.  The bubbles are great - no problem there (except that the spacer.gif is giving me a red X) - and the colors are fine, but with the default theme buttons showing up, it's a little... well, ugly. I think this theme would work well with my site's colors - not a perfect match, but certainly complimentary - so if someone could suggest what I might be doing wrong, I'd really appreciate it.  Thanks.

does anyone know if it works with SMF RC2?

i've tried to install the theme but it doesn't seem to want to play but then again i'm a newbie to SMF being an evacuee from phpBB (which seems very clunky compared to SMF).

i'll keep trying in the meantime

IMHO, making them theme settings you could set from the admin panel would be better.  I should probably write up a tutorial on how to do this.

If I did, would you think it was worth the time to make it use them?  Basically, it would mean using $settings['alternateAvatars'], etc. - really the only complicated part is the Settings template.

I've updated the theme to use what Unknown suggested. Download the latest version here

To configure the theme, go to Admin->Current Theme Settings.
Scroll all the way to the bottom, there are two checkboxes:
[ ] Show user signatures
[ ] Show avatar on left side only
