ok so I would like to use this on my RC1.2 site, however, I see some folks are having to make alot of manual changes to files such as Display.php in addition to installing it in order to even get it to work correctly. Is this still the case or have those issues been fixed?

feline

A little bit more info about your problem would be help  ;)

If your talking to me, Im not having a problem. I havent even installed the mod yet. I was asking if you had worked out the bugs folks are talking about and made the mod "fully" compatible with RC1.2 without having to make a bunch of additional edits such as with Display.php.

feline

The lastes release (you can download that on the support site) is full compatible with SMF RC1.1 and RC1.2.
For updates you have also to visit the support site ...  ;)

The Goblin

sorry if this is a stupid question...  cant seem to find the answer, or maybe I just didnt look in the right spot.

What do I mark so that the PortaMx is visible to everyone besides me (admin)  The wording is a little confusing and I thought I had it so others could see it until I made myself a test account.  Now the Home button (portamx page) just reroutes me to the forum when Im a guest/member.

What exactly do I mark or not mark?  That is the question  ;D

Thanks for the help.

feline

you have to set the visibility option and the access to any member group they can see the block. If nothing set, only the admin can see it.
Go to -> admin block - edit block - access settings and visual options

Is there any way I could use this SMF Articles mod on frontpage?

http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1354

I'm using default core RC1.2

Thanks

feline

I don't know that mod .. but if it have a defined DB interface (or own SSI functions) you can get the content with php blocks.

PortaMx hase released the version 0.971 for SMF 2.0 RC2 public.
This version supports caching for all blocks (exept html, php, script) to reduce the number of database queries and load the page faster.
