Yes, it should be

'content' => '<img src="$1" alt="{alt}"{width}{height} class="bbc_img resized" />',

unless you don't like the image toggle function and you want it disabled.

So you are talking about Aeva auto-embedding image links similar to Youtube links? I think this wouldn't be convenient at all. Think of it like this: Maybe we would be avoiding a few tags, but we lose control over images. Maybe someone will prefer to post the link only, not the image itself. Also, Aeva auto-embedding image links feature would grab every image link preventing indivual preferences about the visible dimensions of the image. There will be one global setting set by the administrator and that's it. On the other hand, using [img width=x height=y] or [hs width=x height=y], it is possible to set these parameters manually.

I am not a expert, but I think its going. For me its a little bit stupid to use two different highslide scripts.. on one side you have a super nice Aeva but it dont show a full highslide pic :-( and the other side highslide alone..

Quotesuper nice Aeva
OK, you are fun of it and love it. I like it too.

Nobody says to use two different highslide scripts, if you don't need media and you only want pictures highslide is a very good choice.

Is it possible to use Highslide Image Viewer without a pop-up, just expanding the image similar to nCode script or SMF 2.0 RC3 built-in resizer? If possible, I would like to use it as a multi-purpose tool: Enlarging thumbnails inside [hs][/hs] in the form of pop-ups, and expanding images inside "img" codes without a pop-up.

nikan

Highslide Image Viewer expands in pop-up all images with [img] tag.
The only images that affected by my mod Highslide BBCode and Image Viewer are the highslide images with [hs] tag and all other images with [img] tag are expanding with the image toggle of SMF 2.0 RC3 or with nCode on SMF 1.1.11

please look realistic. Aeva is one part to show - example - the pics. Highslide is an other part to show the user pics in the post. Or you think this is going with Aeva? But for this comfort you use two different highslide scripts.

Yes, I know Nikan. That's exactly why I suggested the [hs] tag. I wanted separate controls over thumbnails inside [hs] codes and regular images inside "img" codes.

I am perfectly fine with images inside "img" codes to be expanded by the image toggle of SMF 2.0 RC3. But the problem is, SMF 2.0 RC3 built-in resizer cannot handle imageshack and some other image hosts when maximum width is set globally from the admin panel. SMF cannot retrieve the image size and dimensions and leaves it as is. I want the exact functionality of SMF 2.0 RC3 image toggle which works for images at any host. I guess nCode mod can be arranged to do this without interfering with your new Highslide BBCode and Image Viewer mod. I thought maybe Highslide script could also offer similar functionality.  ;)

Dear ProfDrDenis, I don't get what you mean. Not everybody needs Aeva. For example I am not fond of it. I don't need its functionality, I don't want all those database entries it creates. I am sure there are people like me. Even if you have Aeva mod installed, you can arrange the Highslide mod so that you won't have two different highslide scripts. Edit the Highslide mod so that it points to the highslide script that is installed by Aeva. That's it.

I just checkit and it hadles images from imageshack, as it should, because the images are downloaded at full size and then shows them at the size you set from admin panel.

I checked it again on my test forum, and it doesn't work. The same image on imagehost.org is resized, but the one on imageshack.us is not. I have read in topics here in SMF community that this is a known problem with some of the imageshack and some other image host servers. So, SMF 2.0 resizer does not work with some servers because the image information cannot be retrieved. But, of course, it is always possible to resize any image (including the ones on any imageshack server) by manually setting the width parameter in-between the img tags.

You might want to check the following topics about this:
Problem with image resize
Image Resizer in SMF 2.0 RC3

Anyway, this is not the right topic for it. I just wanted to know if it is possible to use Highslide script without a pop-up.

By the way Nikan, please post the link to your new mod's topic here as soon as it is approved. Thanks.  :)

How can I install this mod in RC3??

I read about emulation, where or how can I do it?

Thanks!

Ok, I am on 1.1.11 and installed the package just fine.
After that, all images disappeared, but the codes are still there when you edit a post.

So, I disabled all custom themes, and reverted everyone back to default core, still no go.  Even after I uninstall the package, and delete it, now I can't get any images in posts to display.  Any help would be appreciated.

I've restored to a version prior to the mod installation.

EDIT:

All fixed.  I disabled the server setting for compression, and all seems to be working fine.

Masbuskado, maybe someone can help if you could give more details. Did you install a new mod just before this happened? Or did you change the settings of Aeva Media mod?

Are you sure it is the Highslide Image Viewer that resizes the image? Which type of cursor do you get on the resized image? Hand cursor, or the zoom cursor?

If you cannot access the viewer, the first thing I can think of is that something is messed up in the index.template.php file of your theme. It is where highslide.js is defined. Could you attach the index.template.php file of your theme and answer the question about the cursor?

If you don't see the zoom cursor, it indicates that highslide.js is not active.

I looked at the index.template.php you uploaded. I don't know how this happened, but it doesn't have the part which should have been added by the Highslide Image Viewer mod. Obviously the mod doesn't work without that part.

Are you sure that Highslide Image Viewer mod is installed? Can you check the packages in your Admin Panel? If you see it installed, could you try uninstalling it? Normally it should give errors when you try to uninstall. Please do not continue to uninstall, just check if you get the error message.

Could you also upload $sourcedir/Subs.php, $sourcedir/Display.php and $themedir/Display.template.php files?
