SOLVED : Making a back up

OK OK I know I should know this but guys just took over the administration of our forum. 
For some unknown reason I can not make a back up of the forum thru the admin area at all   all I get is a blank page   and nothing backed up on my computer.  So  I guess my question is this  How can I back up everything if this part of it doesn't work.    We need all our posts etc.

Do you have access to your Cpanel? You can get your back up by exporting from your phpmyadmin.

Thanks Miles I just went and did that but where the heck did it export too?    It didn't show that it came to my computer.

Go into your phpmyadmin.. under your CPanel.. Once in your in there Select your database on the left side of your screen.

Then at the top hit "Export" then at the bottom it will say save as a file check that hit "Go" and it should download to your desktop as a .sql file Theres your back up.

Should export to your desktop

This is just sooooooo frustrating I think it must be my computer as I get nothing but a blank page on this also have tried it now 4 times and nothing to my computer.
any other suggestions   maybe ftp  somehow ??

I spoke to her on the phone. And we were able to get her a backup! aswell learn some other things like how to FTP
