SMF 1.1.7 Released

Update went very good and all my sites are now 1.1.7

one of them kept having a error 500 after the update but seems to be fine now

He's right - it's a problem with your package. You provide different file versions in the update (smf_1-1-7_update.tar.bz2) and upgrade (smf_1-1-7_upgrade.zip) files.

p.ex.: Sources/Register.php (both versioned 1.1.6!) line 301 or the upgrade.php itself: in update it's still 1.1.6 and in upgrade it's 1.1.7 but with ugly dos line breaks?!

So please
1) fix it
2) provide an "update package" without all that smiley, avatar crap - you changed what - 10 files and we should download more than 1MB?
3) don't provide different update package versions with the same name (again)

There was actually a problem with the upgrade package with the upgrade.php, compuart has regenerated the package which will sync within the next 24 hours or so to the download mirror.

if there's another problem we don't know about with the packages, please post details in Bug Reports.  Thanks

you know, THIS original "news item" should have been in the SUPPORT BOARDS!

I mean, there may be a post in the news area, but it should automatically link to support, so that peoples responses will be about the issues /problems they have with the update,

Even if this were in the support boards, 300 need help posts in a single topic don't help either, regardless of where it happens.  It makes figuring out who's problems are resolved and who's are not a near impossibility.
