Question about adding a banner to default theme

I have tried both methods, but niether seem to work the way I thought they would.  First when I add a banner by copying my logo in to the Themes/classic/images/smflogo.gif folder it appears in the banner placement area correctly.  But when I resize my internet browser it doesnt minimize with the page like it should.  It continues to be 825x150. 

The second attempt is if I copy the url path and paste it into Theme Options and Preferences > Logo image URL it will display, but it will not minimize with the page either.  Is there a correction for this or a script I can add to the default theme that can correct this?  Thanks!

see the problem is you are using a fixed width banner so it will always be xyz px where as the header is fluid using a percentage

the way around it is to add a fluid width tag direct to the img line (this woul require recodin the index.template slightly.

By adding a banner do you mean replacing the forums name up the top left hand corner with a banner, if so this can be done in current theme settings.

Got it!  The change was made and it corrected the error message, but when I tested resizing my browser the problem still exist.  Here is the link for you to take a look at...

that definately fit the area, but when you make your browser window smaller isnt the picture supposed to reduce itself as well?  RIght now when I make the browser smaller the image doesnt reduce its size at all.  Maybe I'm asking for something that cant be done...is that a possibility?

Runic you are absolutely correct!  I'm using IE7 and it doesnt work, but I just opened my google chrome browser and it does work.  What browser are you using and do you have any idea why IE7 wouldnt work?  Just curious.
