Is there such a thing as global announcements in smf 2 ?

When you make a post you can choose to announce it in the "additional options". Or you can just send out a news announcement from the admin panel under news and newsletters. Both of these options allow you to send them out globally (to all).

The announcements in SMF are e-mails. If you're talking about something like the global announcements mod, then  I don't think there is anything like that currently available for SMF 2

You can try PMing the mod author, to see if they're able to update their mod

Ok thanks H thats what I was after. Maybe they will update the mod as time goes by.
