HI,

I first installed SMF in a subdomain (forum.mycustomersdomain.com. I decided later that this was going to be conflicting to my MAIN domain so I wanted to MIGRATE the forum to mycustomersdomain.com/forum [nofollow] instead.
OK...I called hosting site's tech support and asked for help. They told me I needed to go into PhpMyAdmin and search the tables for forum.mycustomersdomain.com [nofollow] and change all references to mycustomersdomain.com/forum [nofollow] and then simply move the forum folder to inside the mycustomersdomain directory. I did that and it's all screwed up!!!

SO...I called back and got another tech who said that forums are difficult to move around and that I ought to just restore. SO...I RESTORED (using PhpMyAdmin) using the backup file I created just before making any changes...moved the forum directory BACK to its ORIGINAL location and it is ROYALLY SCREWED UP!

My customer is going to be awfully mad. PLEASE...PLEASE...PLEASE...someone tell me what I can do to fix it.

Thanks in advance,

It seems there is only "one" way to do a lot of things...

Have you run repair_settings.php yet? That will reset your paths for you, which should sort most of the problems.
