SMF Default Theme - Core (need to add FORUM button)

Hi all

I made some changes to my forum and after that i find out that FORUM button is missing.

How do you add custom tabs to the Core (default) theme menu?

"Deprecitated" has a mod to add custom tabs for all versions through 2.0 beta 4.

Although not specified in the mod info, I would assume this if for the default theme as most of depreciated's mods are designed for it.  Also, I don't know if this a "flat tab" or a default theme "button".
