Why am i getting files like this in my root directory 4 SMF and what are they

Look at all of them, why are theyre so many and why are some soooo big?

This is most likely due to an issue on the webhost end. Contact them and let them know about it. I had the same issue and the host blamed SMF. I bugged them again and again...they finally caved in and admit that it was their fault. They configured one of the services incorrectly. After recompiling them, it fixed the problem.
