Is there a mod like this one but which will give you the pop up every time you hover on a particular word?

Like if every time I hover over the word "cake" (on any thread), a picture of cake appears. I have that in my wordpress blog but I'm not sure if it's possible in SMF.

Thanks in advance.

Fantastic mod - everyone on my community loves it. However, one of our members pointed out a bug which makes JavaScript insertion possible.

Try the following:

[desc=\');alert("hi");//]free candy![/desc]

This generates

<span onmouseout="tooltip.hide();" onmouseover="tooltip.show('');alert("hi");//');" class="hotspot">free candy!</span>

A blank tooltip shows up and, well. I'm sure folks can think of worse things than alert();

The problem/solution:

When the description $1 is validated,  '  is not escaped properly,

'validate' => create_function('&$tag, &$data, $disabled', '
$data = strtr($data, array(\'&#039\' => \'\&#039\'));'),
),

I replaced the validation with the following, and everything is back in order.
Code (php) Select

$data = htmlentities($data);

Thanks for the finding. I will update the mod package.
