Forgive my ignorance though but will there be a new default theme with SMF going gold? The more I see it, the more I like this forum theme.

Yeah. Why is there still the old theme in 2.0 RC1? Why cannot people enjoy the theme this site using?

Well, it is barely possible that someone is planning something better.

Great work once again! :) Update was flawless from on my board and I had really fun customizing my own theme with all the new css and stuff in the 2.0.

And being using SMF on my site since the first public I can only say many thanks.

clearly awesome news. been waiting for a long time, will update 3+ boards.

I assume it's a regular upgrade procedure that should go relatively flawless if I don't have mods installed, right?

Should do. I've done test sites and as long as there are no mods it seems fine.

I used the full upgrade (SMF 2.0 RC1 upgrade) package (upgraded from 1.1.8 to 2.0 RC1)
Error message:
An Error Has Occurred! The package you tried to upload either is not a valid package or has become corrupted.

What should I do?

You can't install it like a mod.  It's not that kind of package.  Please read Upgrade SMF

If you require support on installing or upgrading, please use this board:
Install and Upgrade Help

If you require support USING SMF 2.0, please use this board:
SMF 2.x Support

Thanks to all for your kind words.  I think it is time to see this locked up.  Please use the links above if you require assistance :)
