i have a question about creating boards. if i create a board and forget to click what members can access it can i rectify this with out going through all the boards. namely if i give regular members permission to post without approval will that over write the board thing

Well they will not see the board to be able to access it. A group must be allowed into a board before they can post ;)
PM at your own risk, some I answer, if they are interesting, some I ignore.

I think you can do it by membergroup as well.

Go to membergroup permissions, select the membergroup.  Then expand Visible Boards:.  You should now be able to select all 70 for that group in one action.

Board access isn't linked to global posting permissions.
