I've just updated to SMF 2.0 RC1 from SMF 2.0 Beta 4. I've updated since a fresh install of an older version of the Beta. The only Modification I've installed is YouTube BBCode, and I'm not sure how that would cause this. I've posted this a few times; with no responses each time.

I cannot believe that this bug still exists. How can you have a release candidate when many people who update cannot use the search feature?

This happens when I try to search for anything, and my members are really getting annoyed, as well as myself.

Does anyone know how/if this will ever be fixed?

I don't think this is a bug in SMF, but in your 2.0 database.

Are you using Mysql/PostGreSql or Sqlite?

What search index are you using? no index/full text/custom index?

Try empting the smf_log_search_results table and seeing whether that resolves the issue.

I am using No Index, and I cleaned all the data out of the smf_log_search_results table, and I am stilling getting the same error.

Thank you for the reply, I will do almost anything to get this working.

Ry60003333, is this issue resolved now? If not, can you check your forum error log and give us the errors you see there?

I'm having this same problem with the search function.

No, I haven't.  I don't know how to empty the smf_log_search_results table.

Run the following query with phpmyadmin:

TRUNCATE TABLE smf_log_search_results;
