yes it is, but you will need to modify the mod file

Now that i think it could be a bit hard, as i created a prefix with HTML and it didnt get interpreted... i wonder if bbcode could be added!

Not recommended, for very good performance reasons.

In any case, the author has asked me to remove the modified version of the mod from this thread - please remove it at your earliest convenience.

He has stated he will update for 2.0 RC2 when he has time.

While I appreciate your frustration, if it were me, I'd be EXACTLY the same.

You know that mods are still copyrighted to their author, right? Any redistribution other than the mod site is invariably a breach of copyright and we HAVE to act if the mod author requests we (Cust. team) do.

NIBOGO is totally within his rights to request this, as do plenty of other authors, actually. I can name plenty of other such cases.

no i understand completely i just think it is bad to have it is compatible with RC2 and then it is not and then ignore the support posts i mean he answered the threads a few times with useless info the time it took him to make the posts he could have corrected his error just doesnt make alot of sense when i see a mod that looks interesting and it states it is not compatible with my version at least i dont spend a bunch of time and frutration

but no big deal it worls for me now i just feel bad fo others if he doesnt update it soon

im confused, i really dont want to start a discussion here and i don't care if the mod author is busy or does not want to upgrade his mod... but this is a community,  and i feel that we are here to help each other and also to share. I just wanted to help others while the the right update was not here. i do not even changed credits, just added LM into the mod name so no one could get confused.

anyways, thanks to everyone who thanked me and to the mod author i apologize for violating you rights.

luismanson, generally I would agree with you. We are a community and we try to help each other.

Unfortunately, mod authors are a law unto themselves and if they want to keep sole control over it, it is their prerogative, even though it only hurts those who actually want to help.

There's nothing stopping you doing a fresh (different) mod that does the same basic thing, however...

As you can see in that license you can use and distribute the SAME mod but you can't create derivated works from it as you can read in that page:

"No Derivative Works — You may not alter, transform, or build upon this work."

So I don't know what it's a big deal it's a free mod you can use it in your website the only thing that I ask you is respect the mod license

i already apologized for the licensing issue, and like i said i just tried to help others don't be so ungrateful this also would had allowed you to just look the code without taking too much of your time. this kind of attitude does not encourage people to colaborate.
