Hi all,
first of all SMF is one kickass project and ive used a fair few out there ( phpBB, IPB, Ikonboard  etc etc. . . ) and im very impressed with SMF so far looks good very functional etc etc but im sure you hear this often so il spare the over kill on the over joy :P

my question is not really one of intergration but more of user shareing .. il explain

Currently i have two sites - one of my sites runs on xoops with IPB-X intergration ..  the other did run the same until today after i switched my site over to SMF ( id already switched another projects over to SMF from phpBB also .. and kinda fell in love with it from there ) Anyway what im wondering is .. would it be possible to somehow recode or rework ( take the wording whichever way you choose ) to sync registrations on site A (xoops) so they carry across to site b (SMF) ?

i have very little (very!) in coding knowledge .. so i wouldnt have aclue where to start could someone possibly point me towards an idea or a pre exsisting way to do this ?

It is possible and this is exactly what the Mambo Bridge does... but as yet, there's no integration available.  It does take a noteable amount of work and effort, and it does take programming know-how.

Have you looked at Mambo, though?  Personally, I prefer it to Xoops, but I haven't used either *that much*.

ive looked at mambo briefly and admit its a very good package just xoops offers that "comfy" factor for myself that you only get with paticular packages

at the very worst i can set up a development "zone" and give it a whirl so to say ... maybe il learn something ... either that or breakdown into a tearfull woe of sorrow - whichever comes first hehe

Yah it would definitely take some modifying of the php code...you may be able to get somebody to do it for you by posting on the Help Wanted board :)
