I installed 3.0.0 in June 2008. I *think* I later upgraded to SMF 1.1.6, but am not certain.

Anyway - what do I do now?
You can try a step by step update :). All Old Versions are available =).

On my forum it changes the member color in the topic where they sent the reply/post and at the bottom in the online member list. It doesn't change the color of the name in the "Started By" or "Last Post By". How do I correct this?
Normal it should work, this is a theme related problem. I change it direct into the code 8).

Hey there -

I installed and the BoardIndex.template.php file failed.  I tried to locate the edit to perform it manually, but can't find the string anywhere.  Tried searching with different parts of the line, but here is no string that has "action=profile;u='" that I can find.

I am using the default them.
I am using v2.0 b4.0
I am using the 3.0.5a version of the mod.

I've attached the file that is failing if you could help me complete this mod.  I'm not sure why I can't find what I need here.

I still can't find how to do this edit.  My BoardIndex.template is attached
Any other mods installed?Or is that a custom theme?

I tried that too.

I tried to install 3.0.3, thinking since 3.0.5 returned an error, perhaps an earlier version would not.

No joy.

It returned a message that I needed to "uninstall" previous versions.

As I pointed out in a previous post, 3.0.0 does NOT have an uninstaller - or, at least, that is the message that is returned.

So yet again - what do I do now?

ディン1031

i look into the version 3.0.0. and i see it have an uninstaller... only for versions 1.1.5 but it have one :X.
add ;version_emulate=1.1.6 to the package manager url. Than you can click on uninstall ;).

I *think* you meant to emulate 1.1.5 - correct?

Well - I did that, and then the "Uninstall" option came up. Here is the result:

ディン1031, could you take a look at my post on page 34 when you have some time?  It is the one that I attached my profile.php to, and I still haven't resolved the issue.

Thanks!

here ..

the 2nd picture is this

Find [Select]

      'link' => '<a href="' . $scripturl . '?action=profile;u=' . $profile['id_member'] . '" title="' . $txt['profile_of'] . ' ' . $profile['real_name'] . '">' . $profile['real_name'] . '</a>',

Replace [Select]

      'link' => $coloredData['colored_link'],
      'colorless_link' => '<a href="' . $scripturl . '?action=profile;u=' . $profile['id_member'] . '" title="' . $txt['profile_of'] . ' ' . $profile['real_name'] . '">' . $profile['real_name'] . '</a>',

note: No, this is going to be my 18th mod installed :-[

ディン1031

First i will say if you install that mod than the

Normal instead of the line

      'link' => '<a href="' . $scripturl . '?action=profile;u=' . $profile['id_member'] . '" title="' . $txt['profile_of'] . ' ' . $profile['real_name'] . '">' . $profile['real_name'] . '</a>',

now this is the replaceable line for the mod.

'link' => '<a href="' . $scripturl . '?action=profile;u=' . $profile['id_member'] . '" title="' . $txt['profile_of'] . ' ' . (empty($modSettings['show_username_in_view_profile_hover']) ? $profile['real_name'] : $profile['member_name']) . '">' . $profile['real_name'] . '</a>',

But before you installing my mod you must know that this $modSettings['show_username_in_view_profile_hover'] will not work any more! If you need that function than you should not install the mod ;).

Have tried installing it on version 1.1.7, default theme and get the following error:

"The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF."

Are you going to do an update for this version?

Extract the file
Find the package-info and open it with a text editor such as notepad

find
<install for="1.1.5, 1.1.6">
and replace it with
<install for="1.1.5, 1.1.6, 1.1.7">

save the changes and re-zip the folder and you are good to go....
