am i the online with the "8: Undefined index: online_color" error ?
Normal there should be no error, it could be possible together with an other mod... i use this variable but i know there was an older bug in Simple Portal with this Problem, but it is fixed now ;).

Bye
DIN1031

thanks for your reply, i think it may be related to YAGAM, but im not sure :(

I too get this error, about 60 000 lines in my error log before I cleared now.

It's definitely a combination of YAGAM and Member Color Link since it only started after I installed YAGAM.

Does anyone have a solution for a fix?

Hmmm normal it should work i looked at the other mod and normal this variable should be set each time...

But for 100% sureness... you can replace in the MessageIndex.template.php
Code (Search for) Select

    <p class="smalltext">', $txt['started_by'], ' <a href="'.$scripturl.'?action=profile;u=',$announcement['author'], '" ', (!empty($modSettings['MemberColorLinkInstalled'])) ? 'style="color: '.$announcement['online_color'].';"' : '', '>',$announcement['real_name'], '</a></p>

Code (replace with) Select

    <p class="smalltext">', $txt['started_by'], ' <a href="'.$scripturl.'?action=profile;u=',$announcement['author'], '" ', (!empty($modSettings['MemberColorLinkInstalled']) && !empty($announcement['online_color'])) ? 'style="color: '.$announcement['online_color'].';"' : '', '>',$announcement['real_name'], '</a></p>

But normal in my opinion it should work...

Hi.  I ask this over at the Global Announcements" MOD topic, but no answer.

I'm on SMF 1.1.11

Is there any edits that will make the color links compatible with global announcements?  http://mods.simplemachines.org/index.php?mod=419

It looks like edits could be made to the Sources/MessageIndex.php   to make this work.

I really need this, as all staff have color links, and are the author's of our Global Announcements.

Thanx for any help :)

Is there any chance of updating this m8 to work with smf2.RC4 please?

Thanks Lord Alibaski

I second this, my forum just doesn't look the same without it

I have to say ...I had to delete the files (could not uninstall) after upgrading to 2rc4.

Though I installed it again using the advanced method it come up with a couple of errors but it did install and is working fine.

Did you just take the current 3.0.8 version and paste the parts into the new 2rc4 files?

lord alibaski

No m8 like I said above there is no uninstall so I had just deleted it in the package manager and then uploaded v3.08 and everything is fine.

hmmm I deleted it from package manager and what not and tried to install the 3.0.8 version again and I got

"The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF."
using 2rc4

Hmm.. I tried install this one and its giving me the same incompatible/corrupt error when I try to install it. I also tried making sure the old packages were deleted via ftp and what not, still no dice on RC4. Thanks for the reply though. Maybe someone else can test to confirm.

Hmm one can always use RC3 emulation but anyway i updated that package again :P

On a fresh install I'm getting this:
3.   Replace   ./Sources/Load.php   Test failed

ディン1031 Read Me!! I just wanted to say thank you and congrats! The mod site says you've kept this mod up to date for five years, and it's the most pain in the ass mod I've ever seen. I tried to manually install it and NEVER again will I try that LOL.

Try this one, i wanted my title for that link so i kept it, its removed in RC4 thats why the search result was false.

Thanks! I'm having thoughts maybe there's something wrong with my install cause EVERYTHING is erroring. That many people can't have errors on a fresh install!!

I'll let you know how it goes :D.

What kind of edits would have to be made to make this work with the PortaMx portal system?

It isn't picking up on the colour changing in any of the Portal blocks; I would like to see it put in the Portal, but I'm unsure how to go about doing that. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
