I have been having the most problems!!  Can I somehow start all over aqnd just use the same database? I don't want to lose the members i do have and the topics already created! I just want to delete everything off the service and  do a fresh install. Is this possible?

Yes, it is possible but I recommend renaming the folder for your current forum just as a precaution. Upload a fresh copy of SMF 1.1.10 to a new folder (you may call it the same name after renaming the other folder). Delete the install.php and install.sql files. Use repair_settings.php and make sure that the database information is correct. Then click on the Recommended values if they are not correct. Save the changes. That should restore your forum back to working order. Delete the repair_settings.php file once you are done.
