This mod ads custom bbc button. It prints edit tags. Write your edit reason between those tags and save.
Thats it.

Please note that this mod installs this feature to default theme. If you want to use it in some other theme,
just copy /Themes/default/post.template.php and /Themes/default/images/bbc/edit.gif to your other theme after
you have installed this mod.

Works with SMF 1.0.5 and SMF 1.1 RC1 and RC2.

Doesnt it work in 1.0.5, coz it works in 1.1 Beta 3, and thats better. So in theory it should work.

It works with 1.0.4 and 1.1 beta 3. I cant update mod because some issues in MOD site, so use attached version in 1.0.5.

edit: updated in mod site.

The Edit tag mod I installed under 1.0.4 still works for 1.0.5. Should that be a surprise, or is it what should be expected?

I've upgraded to 1.0.5 and when trying to install, I'm getting a failure with the Post.template part of the install

Execute Modification   ./Themes/default/Post.template.php   Failure

I don't understand enough to interpret the xml file and maually make the mod to the file. Can I run the installer for the other files and paste in the correct code for Post.template?

Did you have installed this before? Try upload fresh Post.template.php

This was the first install of the edit tags mod, but I have other mods installed.

It has installed OK into the new Post.Template file, thanks.

I just made this myself yesterday and saw this today 

I set mine up so you can type

Code Select Expand


/edit spelling

and it would show up as

Code Select Expand


edited by php2: spelling

with the style I set in the theme style.css file

The only thing I didn't do is add a button, because I didn't see a reason to... /edit is quite easy to type, maybe I'll just add a note about how to use it on the reply page or something...

Upload fresh Subs.php and try again.

optional made the posting showing as unread  (only for administrator and global administrator    )

so that everybody see it by using "action=unread"
