How can I put button: Custom buttons settings somewhere between:
Main   Configuration  Forum   Members  Maintenance  buttons?

Now it is in Configuration -> Modification Settings -> Custom buttons settings.

I tried to do that but no luck.
Thanks.

Adding a new area to the admin panel is not possible with this mod, and it is a lot more complex anyway.

OK, and what about moving it under, for example, SimplePortal?

Arantor

Same answer: it's still creating a new area in the admin panel, whether it's a new menu or a new sub item. Out of scope for this mod, and a lot more complex than you might realise.

Why is it that only I can see the custom buttons? I have the latest version of the mod. (0.5) and it sais he added permisons.. I can't find it. I realise this is an old mod, but I hope it still works, and one of you can supply me with some info.

Thanks,
Andy from Zurascape forum.

I have added this mod about a year ago and mainly used 2 tabs with sub menus.
I now need an additional tab and ticked tab 3 to enable it, but it does not insert into the menus.

I'm currently on SMF 2.04

Any ideas?

Edit:
Apologies.
Stupid error from my side.
I never changed the permissions for the user group.
It is working fine.

Is there a way to make the mod open a new tab, not change the one you have open?

Have you set the permissions for each button? I'd guess not. :)

Go under member permission in Admin.  Choose general permissions, and pick member group you want to see it. The
setting are there per button.

Just curious have you tried reinstalling it ? looks like there are manual edits that could be done.
I don't see any addons that looks problematic in fact I have more then you do and it installed ok.
If all else fails you could disable these others and see if its a conflict of a mod.
My experience 9 outta 10 its a mod compatibility.

Curious if you switch to default theme installation if it works before removing the mods. That might narrow it down.

Try changing  your paths/urls in repair_settings.php

Import the file from SMF using FTP and check the suggested paths and then when youve done it delete the repair_settings from your webspace.
