Multiple thread authors

Subject: Multiple thread authors (FREE please)
Forgive me in advance if there is something like this already that I have missed in my searches.

SMF 2.0 (currently running RC3)

Description
When you click a board and view all the threads, you typically see each thread title and underneath it you see "Started by username" *(See attachment) What I would like is for the original poster to be able to specify another member as a co-author of sorts. I have a roleplaying site, and there are many stories and ideas that are collaborative works. I'd also like the co-author's name to link to their profile, same as the OPs name.

Permissions
Every member would be able to access this feature. But only one member, the thread topic starter should be able to name a co-author.

Feature Set
I don't really require any complicated features. I would just like the OP to be able to find and link the member they want easily.

I'm fairly certain this feature wouldn't be too hard to implement. I just am not the most experienced with php /mysql. Thanks for all your help. :3
