Can anyone tell me what this means and how I should go about correcting it.

Thanks,

This means you neglected to run upgrade.php.  For more information, please check readme.html.

I've the same error because UPGRADE.PHP is bombing on me. I'm upgrading from 1.0.1., all new files in place, all steps double-checked, but at the bottom of the first page of the verbose report (with all other steps on the screen "successful"), UPGRADE says:

Updating thumbnails...
    Registering thumbs... done.
    Adding image dimensions... done.
Successful.
Updating ban system...
    Splitting ban table... Unsuccessful!
This query:

    SELECT ID_BAN_GROUP, restriction_type
    FROM snuggery_ban_groups
    ORDER BY ban_time ASC;

Caused the error:

Unknown column 'restriction_type' in 'field list'

So now I'm stuck halfway through the upgrade -- apparently because it wasn't able to finish, I also get the error about which this thread is.

Your thoughts and time are truly appreciated.
Bobby

Unfortunately, that means another problem is rearing its head.

Perfect. What a joy to get a fix for a complex system and have it just *work* the way you're told it will. You are a gentleman and a scholar. I had to go out of town tomorrow and was majorly bumming about my forum being down all weekend.

Thank you very hard.
