£ symbol not working

Hi,
I have a free SMF 2.0 forum at http://www.modelboats.smfnew.com/index.php
The hosts changed over from MyBBnew to SMF this last week, I notice that the £ symbol isn't working, instead it substitutes a ? question mark symbol instead. I have gone through the keyboard trying to find if it's hidden somewhere, but it seems not. Is there a way I can fix this?

I'd say "Give your host a slap!".

In your default theme's "languages" directory, do your language files exist?

I'm assuming either english or english_british.

Is your forum's "default language" set?

Thing is, smfnew has nothing to do with SMF. So, it's them that you'll need to negotiate with.
