Version: 2.0.1

Hi, I remember using earlier versions of Simple Machines that allowed me, not only to color usernames based on membergroups in the online list, but also to color them based on membergroups in their posts, profiles, etc. I also remember being able to bold the usernames based on membergroups, for instance:
{username}

I realize now that 2.0.1 doesn't have nearly as many features as it's predecessors, which is why I'm confused on how SM is calling it an update. What I want to know is if there is any way to bypass the aforementioned flaws in the current version, so that I could have membergroups colorful again.

*inb4 look for a mod, I did. There is none on this site for the current version.

Illori

that would be a mod and always has been smf does not support coloring of the username based on membergroup you like want and never has. smf 2.0 actually does have more features then 1.1.1* and earlier, as far as i know no features have been removed just added on to.

Thanks for the information.

If anyone finds a mod, a PM or post would be wonderful.

Don't rely so much on MODs only available for 2.0.1 , just emulate in the package manager, almost any mod for any version of smf 2 is at your disposal ;)

The MOD Ozzie suggested works, but this one is compatible with 2.0.1 , and doesn't make any edits to any files, just adds one file with hooks ...  http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=3067
