Almost impossible to figure out image letters when posting...

I'm all for security and anti-spamming, but when regular users that have perfect vision can't figure out what the letters in the image then I think something needs to get done. It has taken me about 20 minutes to post a simple post here and when the time comes to posting a new post I just tell myself forget it and walk away because of the frustration in trying to post.
I attached a sample of what I've been going through. I'm guessing no one can figure out what those characters are. I'm even dreading trying to figure out what they are with this post. I may be here 10 minutes trying to post this message.

And yes, I did request another image many, many times. I don't have audio on this computer so that isn't an option for me.

Yeah, the 'high' settings are a bit much - but because of the multi-language nature of this site, it's somewhat difficult to implement much else (as SMF's own anti-spam questions, which are the usual go-to measure, aren't multi-language)

Don't forget there's always the audio version, and it goes away once you get to 10 posts.

Press CTRL and + or mouse scroll to increase the page size and the image so you can read it too.

That just makes the letters I can't read to begin with larger. The only option that would be nice is when you request another image it will actually give you other characters, not the same ones. I had to cancel a couple of posts because no matter what letters I chose, it just didn't work. And I swore I was inputting the same English letters that were there. It is nice to know that it will go away when I hit a certain post count. That is nice to hear. Thanks.

There are actually reasons why it doesn't refresh (mostly to prevent spambots building a library that much faster), but there is always the audio version to listen to the letters, so if you're absolutely convinced you've gotten the letters right, give it a listen to be sure.

It can be difficult sometimes, but you're already half way to not having to bother with it any more.

I empathise with your frustrations, but the only people to blame here are those who spam, and force forum administrators to implement these measures in the first place, thus making life harder for everyone else.
