My compliments on these themes. I was actually getting a bit worried because I hadn't seen any clean, professional themes for SMF. The theme that I see by default on the main SMF site is just a rehash of some MacOSX icons, which is kinda lame.

Keeping things clean, simple, and professional is important for those of us who want to use SMF on our websites but don't have a ton of time to make our own themes. Keep 'em coming.

forsakenlad

Thanks for the compliments. :) But the default theme was made from scratch and it doesn't use any rehashes of MacOSX icons ;)

I needed an even brighter version of the orange theme so I modded it a bit to get saf-yellow, and it is attached in case anyone else want it too. It goes very well with the default theme for Nucleus CMS.

Edit: Attachment removed, packaged/edited version can be downloaded from the first post - Forsakenlad
Frozen frogs are back :(

SADISM

I've been trying to modify the theme so it would have a variable width, between a maximum and a minimum, but I've been failing miserably. Any idea how to go about doing this effectively?

Thanks for that Alperuzi! I'll make it compatible for the 1.0.5 and the 1.1 and put a link to them on the first post. ;)

Sadism, open up your Index.template.php and search for:

Code (Index.template.php) Select
';

        //The width definer

        if (!empty($settings['forum_width']))
echo '100%';
        else
                echo '760';

        echo '

And replace it with:

Code (Index.template.php) Select
50%

Here you can change the number "50" to your liking ;)

Yeah, I tried that idea. Not quite what I was looking for. What I'm looking for is something where the minimum would be like 760 wide and the maxmimum say 1000 or so -- set values. Example would be hxxp:www.joomla.org/. [nonactive]

Probably just a check of browser size, but I don't know how to set that up   :'(

But great theme  ;D

I love this theme too! I have used different colors for some different boards. Great idea btw to include the arcade and download butttons. Nice touch!

;D

Thanks redone, really apperciate your comments! SADISM you need to enter 100% not 1000 or 760 ;)

Great theme! My boss is really pleased (he's a non-techie).

I'm a CF person, but SMF has all of the features I was looking for and it is free! This is to be a very private, secure forum, and forum members have to go thru several layers of security to even be able to see the login screen. He still wants them to login to the forum... He would like to change the login screen:

  • He wants the Header disabled on the login screen but not on the rest of the pages...
  • ---------------------------------------------------
  • He also wants the "Welcome, Guest... 6467 Posts in 450 Topics... November 18, 2005.... Latest Member: Tony..." block removed from the login page.
  • ---------------------------------------------------
  • He would also like to disable the "Warning! Only registered members..." Block.
  • ---------------------------------------------------
  • He wants the "Minutes to stay logged in:..." and "Always stay logged in:..." disabled and the default set to 120 mins.

Catch all that?  I know you must be very busy. If this isn't the correct forum for this please tell me. If you could help it would be great!  I'll pm you a screenshot of what I want if that helps.

Thanx,
El Zorro

All of this can be done using the Login.template.php template. Just copy the default on to the theme's directory and start editing it. If you need further help, let me know ;)
