Newbie wants to set up a bird watcher's interactive game.

Website will display several introductory static themes and will ask users to identify the rare bird in a newly posted (weekly) image. Respondents will be encouraged to reply with any knowledge that would be of interest. ALSO these folks will be invited to post an image of another rare bird, challenging the family of USERS to ID it, as well. It seems to me that this non-commercial entertainment would be most suitable as a website rather than as a blog. Would SMF be a good choice to handle the dialog?
