Needing help editing a theme so its not to transparent

I found a theme that I enjoy alot but Its hard to read in most instances. I wanted to make the forums and categories less transparent so that the background doesnt 'bleed' thru so much, drowning out the text.

I went through the files and I only have html experience and wasn't able to locate the proper code to edit.
