Hi

Can I share the security/login of smf with the rest of a web site?    What I have is a small website with a number of casual people browsing, and then t he SMF forum which people log into.  On the forum different member groups can see different boards etc.

Can I share the login security with the rest of my site so that a user has a single login rather than login to the web site, then again for the forum?   Where or how would I go about it?

cheers,

margarett

Is this a 2.1 forum?

In any case, same applies:
http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Category:Integrating_SMF

Basically if you include SSI.php in your site's code, you are able to use every resource of SMF in it, including login/logout/permissions, etc ;)

Well it says SMF 2.1.x support so I guess it is.

we have had many users post here but are not using 2.1. so it does not hurt to verify what version is being used.
