Default settings for notifications not applying for new users

Don't know is this a bug or it has to be.

When I change notifications options in "Notification Preferences" area (for example to get notification when @name is mentioned in a post) new registered users do not have it enabled by default. They must do it manually in their profile settings.

Yes, bro. I'm using SMF from Github. Now I'm thinking, maybe it's because before 2.1 I used a SMFPacks Alerts Pro Mod? Of course now this mod disabled and erased even from server, but maybe it contains something in DB even after upgrade to 2.1?

It's not very likely... It suggests that either the bug wasn't completely fixed in GH, or that the default setting is "off" and, as such, new users will have it disabled.

I just tested, changed every default value and, when registering a new user, it does get the new settings. So I can't reproduce this.

I noticed that you are using a custom theme, maybe you can try with SMF's default theme?

I manually change only CSS, so I dont think this is the reason.
