Hello, I am new to this, experimenting and testing at this moment.

I was thinking, is there a way or possible for the forum to notify
the administrator when someone post something ?

Or is this done automatically?

It doesn't notify admins on everything - this gets real old real quick. 5 emails a day might be fine, but 50+ a day gets really tiring.

You can opt into notifications on new topics on boards and new replies on existing topics, though, this is built in.

are you actually using SMF 2.1?

In this particular case, it doesn't matter, both 2.0 and 2.1 have the same restrictions on notifications.
