Stuck at Step 3 Database server settings
« on: November 30, 2016, 06:24:57 AM »
It's been a few years since I last installed a forum and I've gotten stuck. Posting a pic might be the best way to explain what I've done so far. I created the database and user with the MySqlWizard. Hoping someone can tell me where I've gone wrong please.

looks like you reversed the contents of the last two fields...

also, you named your db user the same as the db itself?  are you sure?
Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support boards.  Thank you.

You think I should make the name more different? I'm not very imaginative I guess. I reversed the last two things but still not working.

Maybe I'll delete the user and do a new one and try again.

if that does not work, contact your host and ask them to confirm that what you are using is correct.

Finally got it working, thank you everyone. I reset the username and password and now it's working ok.  Kindred, thanks for letting me know about reversing the info - that helped a lot.
