SSI How to get Group Name & How to get date of registration?

Hi!

2 Problems.

A) How I get group name. I do know how I get group id and etc... I used to get those info; global $user_info.
I can see group IDs there, but I cannot find any info how I get group info with id. But anyways Main problem is I want only get user's group name.


B) I need user register date. When user is registered to forum. I expect I can get this value from database directly, but is it possible get it without taking connection directly to the database. Like from global array?



Sorry for crappy English, I prefer Finnish usually.
