Hello everyone.
Recently i had an issue with my hosting provider.
My smf forum website runing version 2.0.15 suddenly went offline. It is no longer accessible on the internet.
I complaint to my hosting provider and they told me that my domain name is not resolving to their nameserver.
So they helped me to move my website to another server they have in another country
After the migration if i try to access my website.
I got this error message from the browser

Connection Problems
Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.

So i logged in to my cpanel and i noticed that my database user has been deleted maybe during the migration from one server to another.

My database was just sitting down there without any priviledge user.

So i tried to create my formal database user again
But honestly i only rermember the username i couldnt remember my password.

My question is is there anyway i can get my database username and password back??

Or if i create an entire new account for the database will it work??

Arantor

Yeah, creating a new database account and letting it use the existing database should work.

Have you checked if the URL (server), name, username and password of the database match in Settings.php and cPanel?

My hosting provider has located the mysql account
Had they've added it to use the smf database
And the website is now accessible but.
