Dear All,
I want to insert picture in here from my PC.
When I click "Insert Image" button only have URL... don't have upload from PC...
Please help me upload image from PC into message (not to attachments)
Thank you!!!

By default, you can't embed images directly into a post in the way you are trying to do. However, there are mods that allow inline attachment usage, and that is pretty close to what you want:

https://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=3770

You will have to install that first and then use it as directed.

Hi Illori:
Is there a possibility in 2.1? Seems the MOD mentioned by Virginiaz is not working in 2.1!

On 2.1, this is a core feature. Add the image as an attachment, then "insert" it.

The Insert Image tab asks for a URL of image.
Could you kindly inform how to get the URL after attaching it.
Thanks

If you are inserting and ATTACHED image, then there is an option when you attach it to add the attached image inline.  It's just there when you upload the attachment

Thanks for the screeshot which shows the location of blue arrow. However in my new post editor, I still get the old Select Fiel option rather than the Click or Drag files to Attach - As shown in your screenshot. I have my screenshot here.

Kindred

that's the popup for the IMG BBC tag...

for attachments, you don't use the IMG tag.

make an attachment - either by drag and drop or by file-select...  then click the blue arrow.

Custom theme, perhaps?

Diego Andrés

User doesn't mention what version is being used specifically, the attachment changes appeared in 2.1.4.

And that also pre-supposes that if they are on 2.1.4 that they don't have a custom posting template/mod that ignored the changes...

(In the Reply section of this forum, I could see the blue arrow)
Hence the question boils down to why I am getting the old attach file option rather than the new one which says Click or Drag files here to attach them.

I know from the work I've being doing on upgrading an old SMF 2.0 mod that this behaviour can be caused by a JavaScript conflict issue - recommend you uninstall the mods one at a time to work out which mod is causing the issue.
