iPhone attachment glitch
« on: August 19, 2018, 05:33:12 PM »
Not a bug, but maybe something that could be easily fixed in 2.0/2.1.  iPhones are using the new heic image file format since iOS 11.  When users try to attach image to post, iOS converts it to jpeg for upload.  jpeg is not an allowed file type by default in attachment settings, it must be added or user gets invalid file type error.

tbh, this should be addressed in SMF 2.1 but for earlier versions admin needs to take action.

I think it has .jpg as default, no? I'm not sure if I have edited it at this point. Can't hurt to have both jpg and jpeg.
