Saving post on page refresh

Hi! I was working on my forum, and I could have sworn that back in the day there was a setting (maybe a mod? Or a code?) that made a topic remain typed (but not posted) when a user refreshes. Not sure if anyone knows how to accomplish this, but I figured it doesn't hurt to ask.

Kind of like that! But more so like say I accidentally refresh the page, or press the back button- if I go back to the page immediately, the post I was typing would still be there.

you would need a drafts mod to do that, otherwise it depends on your browser and its extensions to handle this.
