Scheduled calendar event opening

We use SMF (2.0.11) to communicate with our club members, and organize some private event.
Is there any solution to make a schedule to open any event?

We need to set an exact date + time when our members can start signing up to an event.
There are some value on the event creation page, where you can set the day before parameter when the signup will close, but i need the same functionality to open it.

I hope someone has a good idea or maybe a solution

SMF out of the box does not do what you need and I don't recall anyone writing an addon to do it.

Also you are several versions behind on security patches and should update.

Firstly to repeat what Arantor said first thing you need to do is update your forum, quite a few important fixes and security issues have been released since 2.0.11 you can update in packagae manager.

From what I am ready on what you want to do their are 2 mods that if I read correctly will help

https://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=2860 < Event Reminder - this is not exactly what I see what you asked but always good to give people reminders that an event is coming up.

I have not used these mods, nor tested them but hopefully they will be of some assistance.
