smf 2.1rc4 an error has occured

@GL700Wing was very kind and fixed my problem. It was found on my computer that antivirus was making issues logging on my forum.
After disabling and enabling again Bitdefender free edition everything is fine now.

Yes, that was a good catch.
Even bitdefender-free is not what it used to be.  ;D

I was able to register a new account and login without any issues so that provided the clue to this issue being related to something on @pocttopus's computer - with the issue occurring with multiple browsers even after clearing their caches and changing the SMF cookie number I couldn't think of anything else to try except for disabling the AV program ...
