Hi!

Does the new 2.1 support any possibilities to run video ads and article ads as well as wallpaper on the forum page? Or is there themes that can help with that? Ia have bought the ad manager package.

Thank you for the awsome support in here. :)

Can you please explain a little further as to what you mean by video and article adds? A few examples/screesnhots will help.

There are no options in the core for ads in general. Mods exist for adding ad slots to the site, as well as adding code to the header and footer where some ad code could be added.

That said, video ads in general don't work well on forums.

Why does not video ads work in forums? Any reason for that?

Arantor

Most forums do not produce threads with image headers so such ads stand out very clearly as ads and not in a good way - because remember, a healthy forum has all levels of the community participating in making topics. I guarantee most users do not care about adding marketing style images to topics.

That's before we get into the mess that is the Google penalty to forums for UGC.

Well, one reason might be because video adverts are bloody freakin annoying...
