Is the text for a Float Image supposed to start at the bottom of the picture?

No. Did you use the float BBCode? The raw BBCode text for a floating image should look like this:

[float=left max=45%][img]https://example.com/image.png[/img][/float]

That will produce the same result Ses as the OP's example. I believe the OP used the BBCode button for it.

@Senkusha - the image is on the same line as the text. It looks odd when used at the beginning of a post which is why on relatively long posts I'll use the float on the second paragraph for example.

*smacks forehead* You are right of course ... I found the topic at the OP's' website and they used the attachment to place it inline instead of using the bbcode. :)
