Edit Personal Messages

There used to be a Mod that did this, years ago, but I think it was abandoned. It would allow a message sender to modify their personal message up until the time the recipient opened it.

I searched Mods and could not find anything similar. Unless I missed it somehow, would someone be interested in creating this Mod? It would be very popular.

First attempt to install mod from my Desktop gave me the error that the package is either incompatible with my version of SM (2.1.4) or corrupt. Next I manually uploaded a new download of the mod to my hosting, and got this:

At least one error was encountered during a test installation of this package.
It is strongly recommended that you do not continue with installation unless you know what you are doing, and have made a backup very recently.

This error may be caused by a conflict between the package you're trying to install and another package you have already installed, an error in the package, a package which requires another package that you have not installed yet, or a package designed for another version of SMF.

I don't have a lot of mods (2nd attachment), but what's there is needed. Tomorrow I'll take a look at whether I need to update the three that are not SMF updates.

Thanks Steve (and Kindred). I did find the FAQs but honestly didn't even know they existed. Looks a little more technical than what I'm comfortable with—manually editing the BoardIndex template file. Maybe I'll take the coward's approach and turn off the other mods (not the SMF update ones) and see if the PM mod installs. If not I'll do without.

Well, since this mod is was last updated for an RC version of 2.1, there is a chance that the conflict code is actually core - not due to a mod.
