Monospace, "pre" BBCode: Text overflows

Hi,

out of the ordinary one of our users had used the [ pre] [/ pre] BBcode which tranformed the text to monospace as is apparently intended in index.css. However, it also caused the text to overflow as it printed out a different HTML element: <pre> </pre>.
I was able to resolve it for now using "white-space: break-spaces".

But I wondered if the overflowing text is to be expected or whether this is a minor "bug"?
