quote function not working

Using 2.1.4
Suddenly, with no mods added, the quote function in replying to a post has stopped working. It works fine in replying to personal messages. but no in a reply to a previous post. Either quick reply or normal reply.

I should say that clicking on quote brings up the reply box but without the quote in it. Seems to have stopped working about the 4th November but no one reported it until today.

Theme is Curve 2

update.

If I right click and select open in new window the quote is displayed as expected. When clicking on quote button as normal within the thread it just jumps down to the reply box not quote included.

Now discovered that Quick Edit function is not working. Both of these were working fine up to about the 5th November. Anyone got any ideas of what may be causing the problem?

What changed around that time? New mod or custom coding added? Host make any changes?

Thanks for reply. no new mods no changes made to coding. I leave well alone as it has been working brilliant for many years. Only recent addition was upgrade to 2.1.4 back in August.

Not sure what changes the host server guys would make to cause these two buttons not to work. I have just noticed that when clicking on QUOTE page jumps and I get LOADING at top of page.
All I have mod wise are

Curve 2 Colour changer
Ad Manager
Global Headers Footers

Sounds like a javascript failure..  possibly related to a bad advert?

have you checked for javascript errors in the browser's dev tools?

Not added any adverts for couple of months. The only thing I can see in dev tools is this. I am not a coder though.
