"The path to all smiley sets is wrong"

In the smileys settings I get this message:

"The path to all smiley sets is wrong. This will prevent smileys from working."

The path entered is https://www.gobe.si/forum/Smileys
and the smileys are there, tin the subfolders, for instance the forum/Smileys/default/angel.gif
 

What is wrong?

That's a URL not a path. The path is the server folder path to the Smileys folder - SMF needs both where it is in the server and the equivalent URL to it.

Ah, right, there was an error in the path, I corrected all the paths with repair_settings now.
Still, my admin area for Smileys is missing entries....

Was it upgraded from 2.0? (And was it upgraded with an invalid path? If so it might not add anything out of not being able to locate them...)

You should be able to add the fugue set if you want it because you should have the folder for it.

Ok, I did so no, still I see no smileys when I post and I am misng the edit options in the admin area(which I do have on a different forum which I also upgraded from 2.0....)

Missing the edit options sounds like you haven't turned on customised smileys.

Right, thanks, that was the reason.
Still no smileys though when I make a new post, or on the Set smiley order page

And if you right click on any of those images and see what source URL its trying to use, what does it tell you?

Just the path, without the image name itself....

That seems like the entries in your smileys table are wrong, somehow missing filenames?

What's in the smileys table?

It has entries.

And are those the right filenames?

Well, yes and no. The new smileys with 2.1 are .png, the old ones are .gif.

In the database the entries were .gif.

So what I did is to remove the new ,png smileys, and add all old folders as sets, and then in the Edit smileys I got additional smileys at the bottom, I removed the old ones with no images at the top and now I have smileys, also in the make post form.

Right -- because your conversion to 2.1 failed at some point,  and the smileys were not updated....
