Hi all,

i'm new here, because i'm the new admin of starlet-forum .nl

This forum was neglected, and is in need of updates. I started updating from 2.0.10 to 2.0.11 to 2.0.12 to 2.0.13 to 2.0.14. But before i can update to 2.0.14 it gives me a warning. And i do not know what to do now. Is there anyone who can help me?

Click the Pencil icon next to the failed files and apply the changes manually. Or you can simply overwrite your forum files with a fresh set from the large 2.0.19 upgrade package, minus the upgrade files. Please note that this will uninstall all the custom mods that yu have installed and it will undo all manual edits that might have been done to the files.

On a side note, it's best to upgrade to the current stable version, 2.1.4. rather than 2.0.19.

How do i apply that manually? I can only press "SELECT" but nothing happends.

I can't acces the files directly because the hosting is somwhere else.

Also updating is a problem, because i don't have direct access to the server.

The code in the screenshot you posted says search for the following code and then replace it with the code below. To do either that or a manual edit you need ftp access, or you can also perform those actions at the File Manager section of your cPanel.

If you don't have ftp access or hosting panel access then I am afraid that there isn't much that you can do.

You absolutely will need to be able to access the file system directly at some point,  even if you got through thus one issue now

In case it wasn't completely clear from what Doug posted above, "manual edit" means opening the relevant PHP file in a text editor and changing the content yourself.
I promise you nothing.

Sesqu... Sesqui... what?

I shudder to suggest this, but all the errors package manager has flagged are in default theme templates.  As a last resort only, they can be edited in Admin > Themes and Layout > Modify Themes.  If you do not have sufficient access to get to files and database directly, you'll be unable to make backups before modifying files this way.  You can, however, copy the affected code block from the editor to a text file and save it locally before messing with it.  Not something I'd recommend, but it can be done.  Very carefully.

I tried to change the files in my cPanel, but i can't find the problem. If i search for " * @version 2.0" in the file: "Profile.template.php". I can't find it....

Right..   if it existed exactly as searched for, then the automated system would have worked.

You need to use human intuition to find the code that it's looking for,  which may be slightly or significantly different...

You don't really have to worry about that error, it's just the version number at top of file.  You can update it manually.

Oké, but this is not the only one, is there someone willing to help me with these errors? I'm willing to pay in beers or other currencies ;)
