The system resources of my virtual hosting for 30.07.2024.

Aleksi "Lex" Kilpinen

That looks like statistics on used resources, but in this case that's almost irrelevant really - if the server had no more to give, you couldn't use any more even if you tried. But seeing as you are using only around a fifth of what you should be able to use, and still seeing that error, I would complain to the host if I were you.

The hosting owner is not obliged to support the user. The hosting owner simply provides hosting and programs, and then the buyer has to do everything himself. And if the buyer does not understand, then let him pay money to technical specialists.

Hosting owners provide technical support only to keep the buyer, for nothing else.

Aleksi "Lex" Kilpinen

Well, in this case your hosting owner is not providing the hosting you pay for. That is not something you can fix by yourself.

I'm changing the PHP version on my website on the hosting and the PHP Info button is either working or not for English.
For example, it does not work for version 7.0.33 (an error occurs, which is indicated in message 1).
And when I make version 7.2.34, there is no error for the English language.
It is always a error for the Russian language.

The same error is in the log file:
PHP Fatal error:  Out of memory (allocated 6291456) (tried to allocate 212992 bytes) in Unknown on line 0, referer:

Your host has placed so many sites on the same server where your site is that you're not getting the resources you're paying for. And you're never going to get what you paid for - the server simply does not have enough room to ever give you the 512MB maximum.

Small wonder they don't offer basic support - they're clearly taking you for as much money as they can get while doing as little as possible to make it work.

Since this is not an SMF bug, should this topic be moved?

Even though I do agree this at it's core is not an SMF issue, I do think it would be nice if someone could just quickly confirm that the Russian language pack doesn't actually have an issue (as well).

I can view phpinfo in 2.1.4 while using the Russian language pack.

I also have a problem with English, I wrote earlier.
Is there any way to load 10 MB of RAM on the server? Maybe create a theme with a lot of text, or insert a large file into the theme?

Aleksi "Lex" Kilpinen

The "out of memory" error is precisely because you tried to use more than 6MB and the server couldn't do it.
What good would you expect to come from trying to use even more?

I want to make sure that there really isn't enough memory.

Aleksi "Lex" Kilpinen

Well, it is your server telling you that. It's not an SMF error.

There really isn't. It's not even that PHP is saying 'you hit the limit that your hosting account says', it's literally 'server can't give you any more, it's tapped out entirely'.

This inevitably means the server has too many customers' sites crammed onto it for the capacity of the server, and it's banking on everyone having too few users to ever notice.

You didn't get my idea.
I understood what the error meant.
I want to cause the error in a different way.

I want to make sure that there is really little space on my server.
