I have a forum: tipgsm.com (it doesn't use www)

The purpose, from what I've read, is that if there is no redirection from "www to non-www", Google can take it as duplicate content.

How do you do the redirection so that with www it redirects to non-www

Based on what I've researched, the following is used:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.tudominio.com [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://tudominio.com/$1 [L,R=301]

But I don't know if it's really like that, can you help me please?
